American Financier Leaves 37,000,000 Dollars. STATESMAN'S FORTUNE. (Received 10 a.m.) PITTSBURG, August 31. The estate of the late Andrew Mellon is valued at 37,000,000 dollars. Mr. A. Mellon was United States Ambassador to Britain and also Secretary to the Treasury. He was aged 82 when he died on August 26, 1937. After graduating at the Pittsburg University he entered the banking house of Thomas Mellon and Sons and later became a partner. He was the fourth richest man in the United States.
