CRIPPLED CHILDREN'S SOCIETY.

* An appeal has been made by Lady Galwsy for financial support for the Crippled Children'* Society. May I be allowed to suggest that a million shillings fund be started in which all could take part, and by this means a very substantial sum could be raised. Mayors and town board chairmen could open a shilling subscription list in every city and towa throughout Xew Zealand. The fund need not end at a million shillings, but continue until a substantial sum was in hand. I hope this idea will commend itself to all in svmpathy with this fine work. C. E. KXIGHT.
