"Aekland Thorman, won the Australian •amateur golf foursomes championship at Sea ton with a score of 153. The Victorians, H. L. Williams and H. Payne, tied with the Sydney pair, J. Barkel and T. Tanner, for second place with 158. The tournament, which commenced on Saturday and concludes ou August 20, embraces the open, amateur and professional championships and is being played on the Koyal Adelaide Club's course.

SECRETARIES AT PLAY. X.Z. INSTITUTE AT REMUERA. The Xew Zeal-ind Institute of Secretaries hold a golf tournament on ihe Remuera links. The best gross score in the medal round over 36 holes was returned by H. A. Craig, while M. B. Thorpe returned the best net score. The Stableford bogey match resulted in a win for D. D. Sf. McGregor. In the Beresford Tankard competition R. F. Armstrong, Te Awamutu, returned the beet net medal score over 18 holes. This match was for members with handicaps of 18 and over. The four-ball bfst-bnll bogey match was won b.v L. Knight, registrar of the Australian Institute of Secretaries, and Kγ V. Spear, of Whangarei.
