ROXY— TIVOLL
"Everything in the musical bag of tricks, plus vaudeville, radio, slapstick and mock melodrama fills the action." That was the opinion formed by a prominent Hollywood critic after he had seen the hilarious feature "Start Cheering," which will have ita first screenings at the Rosy and Tivoli Theatres to-morrow. Featuring the inimitable antics of Jimmy Durante, large-nosed comical favourite, the film is a college story by Corey Ford, whose humorous pen hae never been in better form. Though Durante is the outstanding personality of the production, Walter Connolly, Charles Starrett, Joan Perry, Gertrude Nieeen and Raymond Walburn are prominent membere of an excellent cast. Of the specialty performers, mention must be made of Hal Leßoy, fast-stepping tap dancer, those "Three Stooges," Louis Prima'e band and Jimmy Green's band. In the development of the plot, a handsome screen hero gives up his work to go to college, immediately being billed, Hollywood fashion, as the star of the college. The efforts of hie managers to get him expelled are in vain, ae the film pursues its hilarious course. Co-feature at both theatres is "For the Service."
