REUNION SOCIAL.
TAIHAPE P. AND T. FUNCTION.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, this day. The first reunion social of the Taihape section of the Post and Telegraph Employees' Association was held on Saturday evening. Messrs. J. H. McKenzie, general secretary, M. W. Cummins, promotion board representative, and J. Churchill, of the New Zealand executive, were present, besides officers of adjoining district oentres. Regret was felt that the Postmastergeneral, the Hon. F. Jones, and the Minister of Lands, the Hon. F. Lan-;-stone, were unable to attend. M~. G. Sherson, the chairman of the branch, who was recently transferred to Hamilton, made the trip to attend the function and welcomed the visitqrs. A lengthy toast list was honoured. Mr. E. Loader, deputy-Mayor, proposed the toast of th« "Post and Telegraph Department." The toasts were interspersed with musical and elocutionary items, and the function finished with a dance.
