FRONTIERSMEN'S CONTEST.
It wos announced at the conference held at Palmerston North last week, that the Compton Memorial Cup, which is competed for by all squadrons, was won by A Squadron, Auckland, with a score of 470 points out of a possible ."il'o. The practice consisted of seven shots each at 200 yards, 300 yards and 500 yards, with an optional si^hter. The team comprised :—Trooper Geo. \ Morton, 35. 34. 32—102 points; Trooper J. Haines. 33, 33, 33 —99 points; Trooper, J. Robertson. 30, 32. 31—93 points; Trooper A. Sim. 31, 31. 31—93 points:, Trooper, C. Braddell, 31, 31, 30—91' points.
