THREE- TAED RUXJE. E>TFORCEMENT ON SATURDAY. TOOWOOMBA, June 22. Following complaints by the New Zealand managers regarding the interpretation of the play-the-ball rule in the match againet Queensland on Saturday, the Queensland League decided to-day that the three-yard rule be strictly enforced next Saturday. Thie will prevent the Queenelandera standing on top of the Kiwis as they did in the first match.
"I feel certain now that the team will give a much better account of itself on Saturday," said Mr. J. F. Redwood, when informed of the decision.
The Queensland team for Saturday will be unaltered.
Gault hae been in pain ever since his admission to hospital on Monday. An X-ray was taken, but theTeeult will not be known ' before to-morrow morning. "The doctors do not think there is anything eerious. probably only a bruise," said Mr. Redwood. Tetley is taking things quietly and resting hie knee.
