Madame Tabouis, the well-informed French diplomatic correspondent, writing in the “Sunday Referee,” declares that two attempts on Herr Hitler’s life were made during his recent visit to Vienna.

A shot was fired from a window while he was speaking at Helden-Phltz, and a shot was fired from a street while HenHitler was crossing from Prater to Scunnering. His car was hit.

The Would-be assassins were not caught, and consequently rigorous measures arc being taken in anticipation of his pending expected visit to Vienna.

Rumours circulating in Berlin and Paris that Baron von Cramn, the former German tennis champion, who was sentenced last month to 12 months’ imprisonment for moral delinquency and “unwise utterances abroad,” had died in prison, have been officially’ denied by’ a member of the family, who states that von Gramm was in good health. His mother, who has seen him in prison twice, hopes for a pardon soon, following a request to Herr Hitler from sportsmen and other influential persons.
