SUCCESSFUL BALL.

PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. Success was the order of the evening when the annual ball anil presentation of trophies ( >f the Three Kings Tennis Club presented an enjoyable evening for the many guests who were present at the Crystal Palace ballroom last night, (iayness and beauty were the keynote ami air. The guests were received by the club president, Mr. E. L. Adams and Mrs. Adams, who was wearing a beautiful frock of black net.

A pleasant atmosphere was created by the tasteful decorations of the supper tables in the clikb colours of blue and gold, supplemented here and there with pleasing bowls of Iceland poppies. The outstanding success of the evening must l>e largely accredited to the efforts of the ladies' committee who were: —Mrs. Adam-s, wearing black net: Mrs. R. Belcher, black lace; Miss Xora Carran. green taffeta; Miss R. Satcliell. black moire taffeta: Miss Dorothy Ilannan. pink net. Mr. Adams whip presented the trophies welcomed members from neighbouring clubs and Mr. and Mrs. C. M. McCullough. chairman of the Mount Roskill Road Board.

The winners of the respective trophies were as follows: Toadies* championship singles. Mrs. M. Cron; men's champion«liip singles, Mr. R. Levy: ladies championship doubles. Misses X. Carran and T Bigham: men's championship doubles. Messrs. O. R. Arkell and R. I^vy: ladieshandicap singles. Airs. Cron: men's handicap singles. Mr. D. Bighani: handicap combines. X. Carran and Mr. D.
