ULTIMATUM TO AUSTRALIA.

WIIX NOT PLAY AMENDMENTS

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

WELLINGTON, Friday. The council of the New Zealand Rugby Union decided to-night to advise the New South Wales Union that it would insist that all matches on the forthcoming tour of Australia by the All Blacks be played under international rules, and to ask for cabled acceptance of this decision In view of the possibility of a reply from New South Wales not being available in a day or two, the sole selector, Mr. E. McKenzie, was author... :>d to hold over the announcement of the All Black team until next week.

Two Managers Appointed. Dr. George Adams, of Wanganui, and Mr. Alex McDonald, of Wellington were appointed co-managers of the All Blacks m Australia. The chairman, Mr. 8 S Dean, explained that the 1935 conference between the New South Wales and New Zealand Rugby Unions favoured the principle of two managers being appointed for tours. He considered the principle should be put jnto practice by the New Zealand Union.
