GATHERING AT WELLINGTON.

WELLINGTON, Friday.

The flag-bedecked conference hall of the Dominion Farmers' Institute, Wellington, re-echoed to the singing of old war-time songs when ex-members of the Auckland units of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force met there last night for their first reunion smoke concert. Major E. A. Porritt presided. Major Porritt eaid the object of holding the reunion was by no means a formal one. The committee wanted everyone to take full advantage of their opportunity to renew old friendships. He read several letters of greeting, \jnclud:>i<r two from the General Officer i Commanding the New Zealand Military I Forces, Major-General J. G. Duiran. and 'ColoofJ Sir Stephen Alton.
