Small Disturbances and Few Arrests in Jamaica. PROTECTIVE MEASURES. British Official Wireless. (Received lii.oO p.m.) RUGBY. June 8. The Colonial Office has received a telegram from Mr. B. C. Woollev, officer administering the Government of Jamaica, stating that the situation in Kingston is normal, and there has been a material improvement throughout the provinces. A large cane fire is reported in Orange Valley, Trelawnv, and there was a small disturbance in the parish. In Port Xurant area eight arrests were made for intimidation, while full protective measures are being maintained.
