There was a tair attendance or spectators and the turf was in good order In spite of a few showers. The 3000 yards steeplechase was not as fast as usual, Bill Savidan, Birtwhietle, Clarke and Watters being absentees. N. p. McKlnven won by Byds after a sprint over the last lOOyde from Evans.
