UNEMPLOYMENT RETURN,

Ihe latest unemployment, return for the period ended March 12. I'.KVS, was released to-day by the Minister of Employment, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong. The return, which includes those on the register who are for health or other reasons unfit for employment, discloses a. reduction of 13.212. compared with corresponding figure for. March 13, 1037. lor the four-weekly period under review the expenditure from the fund under the heading of promotion of employment as distinct from relief expenditure is estimated at £238,036.
