"IT HURTS ME."
i _____ VON LUCKHEVS PLAINT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. "Do they think I have come 16,000 miles, with 380 days at sea to talk propaganda 1" asked Count von Luckner when he was shown the challenge by the Federation of Labour to a debate on Nazi ideology. "I have nothing to do with politics. In all my travels I have not spread any Nazi propaganda. Indeed, I have been strictly forbidden by my Government to export the political views of my countrymen." Count von Luckner said he was not a member of the Nazi Party. He was an officer, and could belong to no political party. "But I do not want to argue with these people. If Wellington does not want me—why, I will go elsewhere. I have come only to spread the gospel of goodwill." The qount said he loved New Zealand and had brought the countess to the country where his adventures took place and where his heart was. v "What have I done to deserve this * It hurts me here." he concluded, pressing his hand over his heart.
