CLOTHES ON FIRE.
GARAGE OWNER'S ORDEAL. BENZINE SPILLED ON OVERALLS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. Painful burns on the fore parts of his body and arms were suffered by Mr. Norman F. Morton, garage proprietor, while he waa working in his garage in Rosem an's Road yesterday. Some time before the mishap occurred Mr. Morton had spilled a quantity of benzine on his overalls, and when he had occasion to light a match, the clothing caught fire, enveloping him in flames. Mr. Morton quickly whipped off his overalls and' other garments that had become alight, but he wa« nevertheless extensively burned. He was attended by Dr. A. Jenkins and later returned to his work, although he was suffering somewhat from shock.
