FIVE MEETINGS IN PROGRESS. TROTS AT THAMES AND TIMARU. CARTERTON AND OPUNAKE CARNIVALS. Five meetings are in progress in the Dominion this afternoon. The Thames Trotting Club is holding its annual fixture, while the Timaru Trotting Club is staging its autumn meeting. The Carterton and Opunake Racing Clubs are each holding oneday fixtures, and the Cromwell Jockey Club is completing its annual meeting which opened yesterday.
