PLACEMENT FIGURES.
During the present week the Auckland Placement Office found work for 168 people. Sixty men were placed in casual employment. 34 in temporary employment, and 2S in permanent positions. Three women were found permanent positions. Work was found for 20 youths, eight going to country occupations. A total of "il men were placed with State Departments or local bodies, and 17 were placed under the ejiecial subsidised local bodies' scheme. ,
