REDUCED IMPORTS.
FOREIGN HAM FOR BRITAIN. British Official Wireless. RL'GBY, January 4. The Government has decided, provided that the voluntary arrangements made with the principal foreign supplying counitries to reduce their exports to Britain of ham and bacon preserved in airtight containers operate satisfactorily, that it will not adopt the recommendations made by the Import Duties Advisory Committee that, the existing general ad valorem duties should be increased from 10 to 20 per cent.
