SYDNEY WOOL SALES.
GOOD DEMAND FOR CROSSBREDS. SYDNEY, January 5. At the Sydney wool sales to-day competition for good lines was well maintained, but it was weak for average and inferior sorts, with prices tending still lower. Comebacks and crossbreds met with good support. Greasy Merino sold to 27% d. In all 11,812 bales were offered and 7600 were sold. Also 1604 bales were sold privately.
