PIG FEEDING TRIAL.
(From Oar ComsposdeGt.) HAMILTON. Wedaesdaj". I An interesting pig- feeding trial is being carried out by the Waikato DisI trict Pig- Council onder the supervision I of Mr. C. P. Harington, on Mr. Harington's farm at Eureka. The object is to ascertain which of seven breeds and eross-breipis- will make tbe best pro- j grass under identically similar conditions and with the same feed. The trial has shown that strain rather than breed has been the dominant factor in the" progress the pigs have made. The trial will be continued until Jun»?. when the animals will be killed and exhibited at the Waikato Winter Show ' as baconers.
