PUBLIC SCHOOLBOYS' TOUR.
, One of the passengers by the Waiwera, which arrived at- Auckland last evening from England, was Lord Malcolm Douglas-Hamilton, who has come to New Zealand to' make arrangements for 4 tour of the Dominion pf a party of over 20 English public school boys, who fere due to arrive next, month in the charge of Mr. A. H. C. Cornwall, a master at Marlborough School. , / . lord Douglas-Hamilton said that education in the widest sense was the object of the lour, which was the twenty-ninth, to be arranged by the School Empire Tours Committee, and the third to New Zealand. The' members of the party were anxious to* see New Zealand and its. people. In the programme a threeday Hvalk across' the Southern "Alps' was planned, and with the six weeks that woul4V:b*: available as many places jut j possible would be visited. ' i Lord Douglas-Hamilton is a brother of Lord Clydesdale, who visited New Zealand a few'years ago."" He is a noted athlete. He was educated at Eton, and later served in the Koyal Air Force. For., a. year he, was an instructor at Hongkong.. E,e is,"now an officer In the Auxiliary Air' Force, and retains a very keen interest in flying.
