PRIME MINISTER AT ZOO.

LONDON, December 31

The Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, was the only man, apart snade Zoo officials, who saw the baby giraffe, which was born .on Boxing Day. While he was walking in the Zoo he was met by Professor Julian Huxley, eminent biologist and secretary to the London Zoological Society. "Come and have a peek at our latest arrival," the professor invited. Because of the day of his birth, the baby giraffe has been named ' Boxer. He is already more than oft tall, and is growing at the rate of 2in a day. He is worth £100. In six months his value will be £300. The extraordinarily rapid growth of the giraffe will continue until he is 7ft tall, when his rate of development will slow down to four or five inches a week.
