MUSICIAN'S DEATH.
WAR TRAGEDY RECALLED.
(Received 9.30 a.m.) { LOXDOX, December 28. | One of the tragedies of the Great War 1 is recalled by the death of Ivor Gurney ' from tuberculosis. He was aged 47. a musician and poet, who the war was regarded as- a genius comparable with Schubert, but his physical and mental powers were ruined by his war experiences. He wrote 200 "songs and many violin and piano compositions.' Only 40 songs and two piano pieces were published, but 20 songs will appear shortly. 1
