ICE HOCKEY FRACAS. Worst Scenes in English Season Witnessed. FISTICUFFS APLENTY. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 2 p.m.) LOXDOX, December 28. The worst scenes in English ice hockey in the current season were witnessed when a mass fight, in which every player except the goalkeepers, participated, broke out shortly before the end of a match at Harringav between Harringav Greyhounds and Earls Court Rangers. The trouble spread when one player of each team dropped his stick tore off hie gloves and tackled each other with buie tifits. The rink instantly was a surging mass of fighters. The Eark Court eoacli and the rest or the players tried to separate them. Those who started the fight were penalised ten minutes, which is an English record. The whole match wa« troublesome owing to private feuds coming to a head and the referee suspended play before half-time in order to separate two bellicose players. The penalty box was full of players in the last ten- minutes, Earls Court having only two 011 the rink. Greyhounds won by 4 goals to 2.
