REGULAR GARRISON.
SIERRA LEONE DEFENCES. British Official Wireless. RUGBY, December 21. The War Office has announced that Freetown, Sierra Leone, is again to be provided with a regular garrison in peace time, to man its coast defences. An advance party recently arrived at Freetown to carry out the preparatory work. The coast delence units will consist of British, European and African personnel. By arrangement with the Government of Sierra Leone the recruiting and training of the African personnel have commenced, under the aegis of the Sierra Leone battalion of the Rojal V\V ? t Ailicau Frontier.
