WOOL RECOVERS.

GOOD DUNEDIN SALE. AVERAGE PRICE I3D A LB. BRADFORD BUYING KEENLY. (By Telegraph.—Spocial to "Star.") DUNE DIN, Tuesday. Once again Dunedin lived up to its reputation among wool-selling centres as the "Geelong of New Zealand," the superior quality of the wool attracting wider competition and sending prices above the levels established at recent . sales in the North. While Japan was still absent from the market Bradford I started to buy and keenly competed with j the Continent for fleece wools, while hatfbred and crossbreds showed a rise of j from %d to Id on recent values. j The sale undoubtedly exceeded the i expectations of sellers of specialty wools, these lines showing high yielding qualities and bringing the biggest advances. The continued improvement in the market gives cause for general gratification i and Otago woolgrowers who were piepared to meet the market were happy, for the values obtained were in most cases above their estimates. It was Bradford's day, Yorkshire buyers obtaining lame quantities. With .Tapan coming back on to the market the present satisfactory values would certainly rise. Already one half of the Australian clip has lx'cn auctioned and one fourth of New Zealand's wool has now found buyers. To meet her needs Japan will probably have to pay higher prices later. * Range of Prices.
