The Taranaki and 1937 All Black representative three-quarter, J. L. Sullivan, has refused the offer of an English League club to play in England on a four years' contract.
Sulli van s passage had already been booked by the En dish club, and, had he accepted the offer, he would have sailed on 1 uemlay. fhe booking has been cancelled. The terms of the offer to Sullivan were reported to be:—
£500 cash before he leff New Zealand. £5 per week (luring the currency of his four years' contract.
Payment for each match at the rate of £■'> for a win, £3 for a draw and £2 for u loss.
