N.Z.-BRED SUCCESSES. VICTORY FOR GAY CIRCLE. MELBOURNE, December 18. At the Williamstown Racing Club's compensation meeting to-day Barham won the Three-year-old Handicap. Lord Jevington wa<3 first past the post in the Welter Handicap, beating Palatinate by a head, but a protest was upheld and Palatinate declared the winner. Gay Circle scored in the Fund Handicap from eleven others, including Royal Quex. Radiant Star and Cue toe were unplaced in the Flying Welter Handicap. Details: — THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP of £200.
