BOY'S SUDDEN DEATH.
TAKEN ILL IN HAYFIELD.
INQUEST OPENED AT HUNUA
A boy aged 10 years, Leslie Reymond Pollock, died at Hunna on Saturday evening after a sudden attack of illness, which developed while he was in a hayfield with his father, Mr. W. H. Pollock, on Saturday afternoon.
The boy, who was the youngest son in the family, was sent home by his father and went to bed. When, later, his condition created anxiety, Dr. G. W. Lock, of Papakura, was called, but two or three minutes after his arrival the boy died.
About four o'clock in the afternoon the boy said he felt cold and chilly. As he had always enjoyed pood health, his condition at first was not considered serious.
The district coroner, Mr. T. F. Snell. opened an inquest at the home of the boy's parents on Saturday night. Evidence of identification was taken and the inquest was adjourned sine die.
A post-mortem was ordered and was conducted by Dr. Oilmore, of Auckland Hospital, yesterday.
