PONY PARADE.

CHILDREN RISERS' DAT,

To ride a pony—or better still to own one—is the ideal of most young Aucklanders. Though the supply cannot meet the demand it is surprising what a number of youngsters do have ponies, and the fact is emphasised in the annual juvenile horse show held at East Tamaki.

For to-morrow the Pakuranga Hunt Club has organised a show whose material objective is to augment funds of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children. Among the competitors will be the three children of Their Excellencies, the Governor-General and Countess Galway, who are keen young horsewomen. There is a wide range of events, from jumping to an equestrian maypole dance.
