WRECK SURVIVORS.
President Hoover Passengers' Experiences. JAPANESE GIRL PRAISED. (Received 0.30 a.m.) MANILA, December 16. The passengers from the stranded liner President Hoover, in soiled and tattered clothing and weary from their experiences, have arrived. They unanimously praised the heroic work of a pretty Japanese girl, Miss Kiyo Koyama, who acted as nurse and liaison officer for their four days' stay on Hoishoto Island. She was a passenger in the President Hoover from Kobe, and acted as interpreter, finding accommodation and food, particularly for the children. Dr. George Corbett. of London, said the experience of going aground had been decidedly unpleasant, but the splendid morale of everyone had helped tremendously.
