WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AMD PROVINCE. Th« Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Moderate to strong westerly winds, bscking soon to south-westerly. Weather cool and changeable, with passing showers. Seas rather rough to rough, but decreasing, on the west coast, moderate on the east coast. The depression which has been covering the Dominion ie now moving slowly eastwards, and a moderate anti-cyclone is advancing across the Tasman Sea. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for westerly winds, moderate to strong, and backing by west to south. The weather will probably be cool and changeable, with scattered showers. The barometer has a rising tendency. Seas moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day i— Wiod, south-west, moderate; sea, smooth; weather, fine and cloudy; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
