BOY'S FALL INTO TROUGH.

NGATEA FARM TRAGEDY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. A drowning fatality occurred at Ngatea, Hauraki Plains, last evening, when Colin Cole, aged two years, fell into a large trough on his father's farm. At an inquest this morning the child's father, A. H. Cole, said the boy had been playing with his brother. Later Colin was found to be missing, and he was found head down in a trough, with one leg hanging over the side, slightly jammed between the concrete wall and the ball cock. The coroner, Mr. W. Bongard, returned a verdict of accidental death due to drowning. |
