* » * • !«R 4 ——— INVESTMENT STOCKS AND. SHARES.

COMPARISONS OF RECENT TRANSACTIONS. *~ marnm^— ■ TO TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1937. The following table furnishes a guide to investors. It shows the trend of the market over twelve months for a comprehensive list of securities, at the same time indicating the latest movements, namely, from a week ago to the date of compilation. The rate of interest obtainable to present-day purchasers is also presented, the calculation based on the latest dividends. Where the dividend is paid in sterling exchange is added. There has been some improvement in international conditions since last report, and this has been rellected in a better demand for leading Australian securities. On the other hand, Government stocks have eased, and New Zealand industrials are dull.
