NAZI PERSECUTION.
Austrian Roman Catholic Bishops Sympathise.
CONDITIONS IN GERMANY. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, December 6. "The Times" Vienna correspondent states that the annual conference of Roman Catholic bishops of Austria sent a message to their German colleagues stating: "In this time of grave ordeal for the Catholic faith to which Catholic clergy and Catholics generally in the German Reich are exposed, we Austrian bishops see ourselves impelled to express our deepest sympathy and to say how much we are affected by that which is happening in Germany, where the State is systematically and incessantly proceeding, with the use of force, to extremes in order to eliminate and repress Christian religion, and meets all active resistance with new penalties and persecution."
