Accepted Portfolio in Lyons

AGAINST PARTY RULING. (Received 11.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Minister of the Interior, Mr. J. McEwen, has been expelled from the Victorian Country party, the grounds being his failure to observe the party rules in accepting a portfolio in the Lyons Ministry and lack of loyalty to the party's endorsed Parliamentary candidates at the Federal elections.
