GIFT EVENING.
A surprise gift evening was given in the Patricia Hall. Symonds Street, by Mesdames Barnard Pearee and Fenwick recently for Miss Ruby Wheeler, whose marriage takes place next month. Mr*. Barnard was in wine colour lace and georgette; Mrs. Pearee. wearing black panne velvet and silver lame; and Mrs. Fenwick in pink crepe de chine, received the guests. The guest of honour. Miss R. Wheeler, wore white satin, and was the recipient of many charming and useful presents, also several lovely bouquet*.
