ANNUAL DANCE.
HEW FRIENDLY CLUB
The members and supporters of the New Friendly Club held their annual plain and fancy dress ball at the Masonic Hall, Upper Queen Street, this week. Over 200 members and friends attended. The hall was attractively decorated with greenery, streamers and balloons. The prizewinners were: Miss M. Robinson 1, Mrs. Cash 2, Mrs. Rennells 3. A song and dance was given by Miss P. McMinn and Miss D. Oliver. The music was supplied by the club's orchestra and the duties of master of ceremonies were in the capable hands of. Mr. B. Bennett. The extra was played by Miss Zaney, assisted by Messrs. McNeal and Steel. During the evening a speech of appreciation was made by Mr. Whare Robb. an official member from the Akarana Gymnasium Club. Supper arrangements were in the hands of Mrs. Andersen, assisted by Mr. Bird, Mr. Andersen and Master Andersen.
