WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— South-westerly winds, strong to 85 • I 0 * o, ' but decreasing to-morrow. Weather cold, squally and changeable, with heavy showers and hail in places, but conditions improving to-morrow. Seas rough to high. ■ Yesterday'* depression is now located east of the Dominion and an anti-cyclone is advancing across the Tasman Sea. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for southerly winds, moderate to strong and to gal* force in places, but decreasing tomorrow. The weather will be cold and probably prove squally, with heavy showers, but improving to-morrow. Barometer rising. Seas rough.
