BELGIAN KING'S PLEA.
Wants British Aid to Hold
The Congo.
GERMAN DEMANDS FEARED
LONDON, November 12.
One of the reasons for King Leopold's visit to London is to discuss the future of the Belgian Congo, over which anxiety has prevailed in Brussels since Germany began her campaign to recover her lost colonies, remarks the Brussels correspondent of the "News Chronicle."
Belgians, it is stated, fear that Britain, to save her own colonial Empire, might close her eyes if Germany were to demand part of the Congo.
King Leopold, therefore, will ask the British Government whether Britain would intervene in favour of Belgium if Germany were to ask for the Congo territory.
