LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.

Ponsonby.—The monthly meeting was held recently. Mrs. J. S. Millar, vicepresident, occupied the chair. Mrs. E. Molesworth gave an instructive address on '"Women Police." During the afternoon elocutionary and vocal items were rendered by Mrs. Shaw and the branch choir.

Mangere East. —At a recent meeting the Mangere Kast Mothers' listened to an inspiring address given by the Rev. Percy Cook, his subject being, "The Sanctity of Marriage." The president, Mrs. C. S. McCallum, presented the speaker with a bouquet of spring flowers for Mrs. Cook, who has been ill for some time. »

The Manurewa branch of the League of Mothers held its meeting recently in the Town Hall, Mrs. A. C. A. Sexton presiding. The speaker for the afternoon was Mrs. F. Whyte, who gave an address on the four lonely women of the Old Testament. Mrs. Wallpole sang several songs.
