The London butter market i.s weak, Danish selling from 1.10/ to 1.12/ per cwt; choicest salted New Zealand and Australian at 138/, and unsalted Australian from 144/ to 14t>/. Cheese is steadier, with New Zealand white at 73/ti. coloured at 72/tt, and Australian white and coloured from T1 /♦» to 72/. The price of New Zealand butter shows a drop of 13/ a week ago. when prices reached their highest level for seven years. The acute shortage of supplies due to falling off in Continental and Australian arrivals seems to have been overcome by new season's supplies from the southern hemisphere.
