RAILWAY WORKER'S INJURY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON*, this day. General damages amounting to £1000 aud special damages of £91 were awarded by a jury in the Supreme Court to George Henry Quin, platelayer, of Wellington, against the Railways Department. The claim arose from an accident in the railway yards at Thorndon in September, 1930, when Quin was helping to put a derailed wagon back on the rails. Permanent disablement through the negligence of the Department 'was alleged. The Croon denied negligence.
