MT. ROSKILL JUBILEE.
There was a large attendance at a preliminary meeting in connection with the celebration of the diamond jubilee of the Mount Roskill School and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Mount Roskill Road Board. A decision was made that any money raised by the celebrations should be placed in the hands of trustees as the nucleus of a fund to provide swimming baths for the district. A committee appointed included Mr. C. M. McCullough, chairman of the Road Board, Mr. F. A. Garry, headmaster of the school, and Mr. F. Ward.
