The buyiiKj price for lainl>e for export m the Auckland district ha* lieen fixed for the week beginning Monday next at 9d per lb on hooks for prime quality and S£d per lb for second*. The ratee for the corresponding period last vear were B|cl and Sid per lb respetiveiy. Limited killings of earlv drafts have been received, at the freezing works during the last ten days, intended for the London Christmas trade, and for these a special price has been paid. It is considered that the rates announced as operative from Mondav next are favourable to farmers in'view of the fact that the price of skins is lower bv about 50 per cent than it was at this time last vear.
