Miss Batten En Route to Basra On Fourth Day.

(Received 1 p.m.) KARACHI, October 21. Miss Jean Batten, continuing her record-attempt flight from Darwin to England, continues to make excellent progress, and her prospects of setting a new time for the trip seem bright.
She arrived at Allahabad at 6 a.m., Greenwich mean time, to-day, and reached Karachi at approximately 1.40 p.m.
She continued her flight at approximately 9.30 p.m., Greenwich mean time, setting a course to Basra.
This is the fourth day of the airwoman's flifrlit and she has covered more than half the distance.
A London message states that for the fourth successive day fo;r has prevented Mr. H. F. Broadbent from starting on his proposed flijrht to Australia from Hanwortli, in which he proposes to try to lower Miss Batten's record.
