JOURNALISM PRIZES.

"STAR" METT'S SUCCESSES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The first prize in the competition in practical journalism conducted by the New Zealand Journalists' Association has been awarded to Mr. F. C. Jones, of the "Auckland Star." The judges. Mr. C. G. Macan, of the "Otago Daily Times," and Professor T. D. Adams, of the University of Otago, recommended that no second prize should be given. The third prize wae awarded to Mr. E. K. Green, also of the "Auckland Star."
