NAPIER, Thursday.
Handicap events in the New Zealand ladies' golf championship tournament were concluded this afternoon, when competitors took part in the second bogey handicap. This event, together with one previous round, counted for the Rattray Cup. The match was played under excellent conditions.
In the first division Mrs. A. D. Latham (8), Hutt, was the winner with a score of 2 down.
In the second division Mrs. J. Hunter (11), Waipukurau, with a score of 1 up, carried off the prize. With a first round of 5 down on bogey and yesterday's round of 1 up, Mrs. J. Hunter had the best aggregate of two rounds and carried off the Rattray Cup.
Best cards handed in: Mrs. J. Hunter (11), 1 up; Mrs. C. S. Geddis (11), 1 up; Mrs. Welton-Hogg (8), 1 down; Mrs. A. D. Latham (8), 2 down; Miss J. Meuli (11), 2 down: Miss H. Buchanan (o), 3 down; Mrs. D. Wilson (6), 3 down; Miss J. Brodie (8), 3 down; Mrs. P. C. Holmes (9), 3 down.
