AT TE RAPA.
BOTTGHAI. SPRINTS FAST. GOOD SCHOOL BY KILBERIS. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") HAMILTON, this day. Little fast work was attempted at Te Rapa this morning when the course proper, about 44ft out, was available for galloping. The best efforts of the morning were those of Boughal and Kilberis.
Princess Lu (Goulsbro) ran half a mile in 54%5. The King Lu filly is to have her first start on the second day at Avondale. She is a compact youngster who has shown promise in her restricted fast work and it will be interesting to note how she shapes in her pending engagement. Tosh (Mclnally) ran five furlongs alone in 1.4 4-5, the first four in 51%5. He did his work well. Mangukali.i (Amunsden) brushed over three furlongs in 38s. He appears to be coming right and will probably be produced at the Cambridge Hunt meeting. A smart haif mile was credited to Boughal (Mclnally) and Kilberis (Trillo), who covered the distance in 51 l-ss, the initial three furlongs in 36 4-ss. Boughal was doing the bettor at the finish, but Kilberis did his work pleasingly. Subsequently, with Trillo up, j Kilberis schooled over five flights of hurdles and gave a good exhibition, showing no inclination to shirk his fences. I Kilberis is entered for the Trial Hurdles lat Ellerslie on Saturday. There was little between Little Anglia (Long) and Desert Wings (Amunsden) over half a mile in 54%5. Dn Maurier (Long), who is progressing well, was associated over half a mile with Gay Mary (Mclnally) in 545, the first three furlongs taking 39 l-ss. Lornacre (Long) was doing better than Mere Haka at the end of five furlongs in ' 1.8%. Red Fox (Reilly) hit out freely over a mile and a half, which he was timed to run in 2.54. The round was covered in 2.11. Red Fox is bearing a healthy appearance and should perform well in>.the Huniere' Steeplechase,
